Want Customers? Then think like your customer?
This might sound like an easy question but many business owners overlook this simple fact. Just think about it for one second. One…. Ok thats enough. Now, ask your self some questions:
- Why are they buying your product vs competitors?
- If you were your customer, would you purchase goods from your website
- Are there any weaknesses that you can improve on?
Simple questions like the one’s above, help bring your focus back to your customer. Your customers go to your website, click on many action points on your website and lead towards a goal.
Check Your Current Web Design Process
- Write down your goal on a piece of paper.
- Go to your website. Click on the navigation menu and count how many clicks it takes to reach the objective you want.
In my experience, I try to keep the call to action on every single page. Remember the online audience has A.D.D. , myself included
Content is king!
Look at your content. Read it over and over again. Does it make sense? Is it enticing? Make it rich with verbs and describe your product. If it is a shoe, then describe the effects.
Example 1:
“Shoe for sale”
Example 2:
“Low-top black leather shoe that is perfect for any formal occasion”
Which one do you think will lead to better sales?
